Ashley was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin and was raised in a tiny town 20 miles East, called Casco.  She is the grateful daughter of Katie and Charles Schmitt, and the proud sister of Austin and Ross.  The family spent their summers on the shores of Lake Michigan running their fishing campground, Fisherman's Refuge.

Ashley’s love for music began early in life.  She always enjoyed and appreciated singing and performing in school.  Her love for theatre became far more prominent when her older brother Austin became increasingly involved with the technical elements of high school theatre.  By the time she was in sixth grade, she was chosen from the middle school to play the role of Mary Lennox in the high school production of The Secret Garden.  From then on, Ashley knew that theatre was her calling in life, and took every opportunity to perform.

After much dedicated effort, she was accepted into the BFA musical theatre program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  After 4 wonderful years of gaining her education and expanding her resume, she graduated with her BFA in Musical Theatre.  Shortly thereafter, she moved out to New York City where she continues to pursue this amazing career and wonderful journey through life.

During one of her contracts, she became friends with three amazing personal trainers down in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina who fueled her love for working out.  She went on and earned her personal training certification through the American Council of Exercise.  Shortly after, she began working at the Sports Club LA (Upper East Side Location) as a personal trainer.

Challenging her own fitness level, Ashley was introduced to Crossfit.  She added the Crossfit certification to her list of credentials and helped open Dynamix Gym in Astoria.  She is currently training to compete in the 2012 Crossfit Teams Games!  She most definitely endures all the same pain inflicted upon her clients!
